 Heirloom Springs

Heirloom Springs is an ongoing small business I am working with in a 360º capacity. In 2021, we started with a concept and I have produced a logo (please see logo page for in-depth look at that process), branding scheme, website, social content, social landing pages, planned and photographed a photoshoot, designed business cards and most recently stamps for egg cartons. This work has been extremely rewarding and I’ve throughly enjoyed the process of helping this business find its footing and grow. Future needs include email newsletters, campaigns, packaging, print collateral and possibly a cookbook.

In October 2021 I planned and executed a photoshoot on the farm. 2 days of still life/animals and 1 day with live models. No casting was needed as we used the owner’s friends however light location scouting, equipment selection, setup, styling, food styling as well as the actual photo and video work was done by me.

In June 2022 I returned to Heirloom Springs to work as the Event Manager for the first Farm + Pilates retreat. I held weekly meetings 6 weeks to organize 3-day event and the marketing strategy leading up to it. Once I was on site I maintained the daily schedule, prepped food, prepped activities, cleaned up after meals, all while taking photo and video throughout. It was long days but so much fun!

Quick before/after baking video for the owner’s homemade quiche, could be used as a Reel or Story. Shot on my iPhone and edited in Splice.

Super 8

I rented a Super 8 film camera. The idea was to capture the nostalgia of being outside as a kid, something that is implicit at the Heirloom Springs retreats. The main audience is folks aged mid 30’s–60’s who would resonate with the older format. Luckily, the owner pretty much just lets me try whatever I want in terms of creativity for our site and social so I was really excited to try this format. The cost is obviously an enormus hurdle here, or else I’d invest and film more this way when I was there and maybe will in the future. I think it was a really successful execution of my concept and we were able to do a decent amount with the footage. In addition to being posted to her Instagram and Facebook as recap content, we now use some of the clips looped in promotional marketing on site and social for the Women’s Summer Camp retreat and its the perfect feeling for that product.
