Boston, MA in 1 day

Think you can’t see the highlights AND some hidden spots in Boston all in a single day? Think again.

Welcome to Boston! I lived here for 7 months (yes, through the winter) and loved it! Boston is cute, easy to get around and so so cool. It’s a tourist destination but somehow the tourists are mainly adorable families underdressed for the weather instead of the mob scene we get to enjoy in Manhattan. I would wave at the occasional tour bus that drove by on Cambridge Street. Thats how friendly it felt!

Since moving on and away from Beantown, I’ve had enough friends who’ve planned a trip up there and asked for recommendations that I put together this little walking tour. It’s a mix of my favorite stops and the historic spots. This specific route is great if you’re with friends or family with varied interests (and patience) and you just have a day or afternoon. Yes, it might look like a lot but if you’re hustling you could do this in a long afternoon for sure! You can walk from the North End to the Boston Public Garden in 20 mins flat (although fair warning, the route is not flat).

So when I was in town with someone visiting, this is where I would take them. Since I no longer live there, I hope this is a helpful guide to anyone who’s in Boston for the weekend!
