Bed, Bath & Beyond
At Bed Bath and Beyond I work as a Digital Designer on a mix of website banners and promotional emails for both the US and Canada (audience of roughly 27 million). I’m most proud of successfully pitching the incorporation of GIF animation into all digital channels. A few uses are sampled below and to the right.
The web projects require sharp attention to UI, ability to handle high volumes of feedback and changes quickly, and excellent time management skills as the product moves between dozens of people and stages throughout the design to ship process. Complete ownership of projects is the norm on this team, particularly with email. I design callout elements, position overlaid text, SILO images (in addition to Photoshop skills that range from brightening to removing pieces of furniture from a staged living room image), choose color schemes etc.
In June 2019, I pushed for email hero’s with headline text overlaying lifestyle product imagery. It was the first time that style was used in BBB email marketing and was so successful, it is regularly requested by marketing and has become a regular design choice ever since.
